"Acty contacted us about the ad itself. We got together, discussed and made a plan. The plan was to build the first prototype, which turned into an almost full-scale development half way through. During the work, we were accompanied by constant communication and smooth cooperation with pleasant people. Acty’s advantage can perhaps be considered to be that we are in constant contact with the client, we always find a common language, and solutions for any misunderstandings are found that are suitable for everyone."

Building a future for electric cars

The electric car revolution is here. The desire to introduce cars with an electric motor to the market, which started with Tesla and has now gripped almost all car manufacturers today, has also created a need for charging infrastructure. The ongoing revolution cannot advance without the establishment of a dense and extensive charging network for electric cars. Vonk Technologies has made it their mission to support this revolution by building charging stations in our little Estonia, offering a highly marketable solution.

The initial objective

Vonk aimed to address the challenge of making electric car charging more convenient for foreign visitors to Estonia. Before the Vonk solution came on the market, charging an electric car for a foreigner was a long and complicated process.

The goal was to create an ordering environment and app that would allow end users to buy a charging pass online or through the app and use this pass at a charging station.

The requirements for the solution were user comfort, speed and security. In other words, the service experience had to be smooth and comfortable. The design solution originated from the customer. Acty’s task was to implement it.

Solution

Acty’s contribution to the project was a technical solution for the web environment.

As a specialized solution, we implemented the SPA application for the payment system for charging electric cars. This included a back-end interface (NodeJS microservice) between the EveryPay payment solution and the central management system for charging points.
