Case study: development of Baltic websites and B2B order environment
Ramirent story
RAMIRENT is a leading service company that offers rental equipment to companies operating in the construction sector as well as in other fields of activity. The company has a total of 47 departments, including 17 departments across Estonia, from which you can rent and buy construction equipment and tools. In addition, Ramirent offers personal protective equipment and installation, transport, operator, design and consultation services for the relevant devices.
Project’s goal
Ramirent’s wish was to create an online ordering environment for B2B customers, where it would be possible to conveniently conclude customer contracts and rental contracts, and where rental orders could be submitted and users managed. Previously, customers could only place orders during customer service hours, but the desire was to make the ordering environment available 24 hours a day, ensuring the customer the opportunity to reserve required devices even during late hours. They aimed to digitize the processes to reduce paperwork. The plan was to consolidate the entire committee into a single B2B system accessible to everyone.
Solution – B2B online order environment
Acty’s solution was to build an online catalog based on WooCommerce, connect it to PIM and ERP for smooth information movement, and enable authentication and digital signing of documents using eID Easy.
We implemented the eID Easy authentication solution at Ramirent development. Integrating the eID Easy service into the Ramirent B2B portal was new and exciting for the developer from the development side, while at the same time being a smooth and convenient solution in every way.
From now on, Ramirent’s online ordering environment offers convenient services that customers need, and thanks to the new environment, the administrative burden has been significantly reduced.
